In line with its Mission UNYP has been effectively responding to the local as well as European and global labour market needs ever since it was established more than a decade ago. To accomplish this strategic goal the specialisation study programme for European BBA students interested in and thinking of a professional career in finance and financial services was launched a few years ago.
The Finance BBA aims at preparing students for their professional career through offering several specialised courses in the last two semesters (the last year) of their study at UNYP. The courses are taught by skilled and experienced lecturers with proven expertise and credentials from the finance and financial services. Finance BBA students have to pass the following specialised courses:
* Risk Management
* International Trade & Finance
* Commercial Banking (the course is subject to review and might be replace by a more timely Taxation course)
* Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management
* International Money & Banking
Please note that this specialisation is available only to students on the Daily Programmes.
Admission requirements
- Graduation from an accredited high school or its equivalent, as shown by the applicant’s diploma or examination records
- English language proficiency
- Interview with the relevant Head of the Department (after submitting the required documents)
The following materials are necessary for admission:
- Completed and Signed Application Form
- Certified copy of student’s high school diploma or if not yet received, please submit your last high school report (transcript)
- Official Copy of ID or Passport
- 2 recent passport size photographs
- TOEFL Test Certificate / IELTS or entrance exam. TOEFL score minimum of 530 pt (paper based) or 204 pt (computer based), IELTS minimum of 5.5, FCE – score A or B. If you do not hold any internationally recognized English certificates, you can take a UNYP Internal English Test as a part of an entrance exam
- A Letter of Motivation (200 words)
- Recommendation Letter (teacher, manager)
- An application fee of 2000 CZK (non-refundable)
All documents must be submitted in English. Documents originally in another language must be accompanied with a certified translation in English.
Tuition
- application fee (non-refundable): 2,000 CZK (one time fee)
- tuition: 138,000 CZK per year
- student body fee: 8,000 CZK per year
Example for one semester: 5 x 6 credit courses = 30 credits
30 x 2.300 = 69.000 + 4.000 body fee = 73.000 CZK per semester
